HomeThayer's Marine is a family owned and opporated business established by it's current owner, Dick Thayer, in 1966. At Thayer's, we pride ourselves on strong family ties and loyalty. Our goal here is to accomodate you, the customer, in every way possibe and welcome you into our boating family.
Today, there are three generations of Thayer's working hard for our loyal customers. Dick is still at the helm while his son Rich is following close behind as the service manager. He is in charge of all of the boats that we take in for repairs as well as prepping new boats for delivery. Dick's grandson (and Rich's son), Richie, is head of the parts and finance departments. Richie can find any part you may need for your boat or motor and he works hard with banks for financing on your new boat purchase!
Richie's sister, Rachel, works hard beside her brother at the parts counter and in advertising and marketing (as well as maintaining the website). Rachel currently attends the University of Hartford an is majoring in Business Managment.
As for what we do here.... thats BOATS! We love boats and we want you to love boats, too! Here at Thayer's we have a few of the best boat lines on the market today, including Seaswirl, Stratos, Ebbtide, Triton, Maycraft, Lowe, Seadoo PWC, and Terhi. We can rig your new boat (or re-power your old boat) with a brand new Evinrude E-Tec, Johnson, Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo, or MerCruiser.
We have the largest tackle shop in the area with a selecton of live and frozen bait for fresh and salt water fishing. Clif, who is in charge of the bait and tackle can outfit you with what you need for a successful fishing trip!
